Honolua-Bay-startline

Start at Honolua Bay

One of the most beautiful starting places in the SUP World

Parking is limited. Please car pool or use the Moore Water Time Shuttle. The meeting point is at the bottom of Honolua Valley by the old boat ramp.

There are 2 great lookouts for spectators and photographers.

Racers must round the harbor buoy to their right.

NO SHORT CUTS

300 Yard walk to the first cold beer.

Once you reach the Kamalo Buoy you will be past your half way point. From here on out it is 10 miles (1 Maliko Run) to the finish line.

Keep the Kamalo Buoy to your right. Opinions differ on how close you should come to the buoy. Conditions often change here, as the wind wraps around the mountain range.

If you can pay attention to beautiful Kamalo Valley to your right and keep paddling.

The gate way to the Maliko Run

This is where the start of the legendary Maliko Run is.

Tip: Don’t turn the corner to early, try to stay out as far as you can, you fighting your way out other wise all the way down to the harbor.

9.8 miles of Downwind happyness

This is where the start of the legendary Maliko Run is.

Tip: Keep the shallow reefs in mind passing Baldwin and Kanaha Beachpark.
