Maui to Molokai SUP Honolua Bay Startline Map

Start at Honolua Bay

One of the most beautiful starting places in the SUP World

Please car pool or use the Moore Water Time Shuttle.

The meeting point is at the bottom of Honolua Valley by the old boat ramp.

There are 2 great lookouts for spectators and photographers.

The light at the end of the tunnel

Once you reach the Kamalo Buoy you will be past your half way point. From here on out it is 10 miles (1 Maliko Run) to the finish line.

Keep the Kamalo Buoy to your right.

Opinions differ on how close you should come to the buoy.

Conditions often change here, as the wind wraps around the mountain range.

If you can pay attention to beautiful Kamalo Valley to your right and keep paddling.

The gate way to the Maliko Run

This is where the start of the legendary Maliko Run is.

Tip: Don't turn the corner to early, try to stay out as far as you can, you fighting your way out other wise all the way down to the harbor.

Here is the route to Kahului Harbor and The Hawaiian Canoe Club.

Tip: Keep the shallow reefs in mind passing Baldwin and Kanaha Beachpark.

300 yards flat water battle

This is your final 300 Yard battle to the Canoe Club and Kahului Harbor

Tip: Try to hook right behind the break wall making an entry, east winds can blow you way off course inside the harbor
